Odco-style contracts not a sham, but employer threat breached Act: Court
The Federal Court has found an employer's threat to terminate an employee so she could be engaged as an independent contractor breached the Fair Work Act, but has rejected the Fair Work Ombudsman's argument that the Odco-style arrangements at the centre of the case were a sham.
